This moment brings back memories of my personal meeting wi...th him at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA, in 2014, during my time as a student of the Advanced Leadership Program I attended with Dr N. Jeyaseelan. His humility left an indelible impression on me. Beyond being a nation-builder, he will always be remembered for his deep concern for the common man. I must acknowledge that my discussion with him on social entrepreneurship further fuelled my aspirations to promote inclusive business models. Some of the invaluable lessons I learned from this remarkable leader include the belief that excellence is not just an output but an attitude to be cultivated; that ethical business practices are the only path to sustainable success; and that true innovation both adds value to the common man and drives financial and social inclusion. His message of taking consistent action in pursuit of a clear vision and growth driven by purpose will always resonate with me. ESAF’s servant leadership values and business ethics have always been inspired by this great visionary, and I urge all aspiring business leaders to embrace his values and contribute to shaping a brighter future.
