The new age social bank is here to redefine the banking experience to general customers. It primarily focus on expanding the banking horizon to new unbanked areas, yet it stand as a bank for all with presence in urban, semi urban, rural and rural unbanked areas. No matter whether the customer is an individual or a business man or an entrepreneur or an NRI, it is here to meet their needs. ESAF SFB have inherited the qualities of enabling livelihoods from our birth and it consider banking as a natural extension of our passion. It is here to bridge a missing link in the business of banking – the joy of banking. With them, the’ joy’ is meant for everyone, anytime and everywhere. In 2016, the apex financial institution in the country (the Reserve Bank of India) approved the license to launch a Small Finance Bank to ESAF, started as an NGO in 1992.

I had been there today for attending a meeting of senior citizens arranged by the institution. Approximately 70 persons present. Officials of lead bank etc. We're on the days. After glowing lamp chanting of prayer.after welcome speech three bank officials delivered their speech on facilities for senior citizens in banks. Various facilities provided by ESAF also was clearly explained in detatil ln Malayalam. All doubts raised by the audience were cleared.There was a class on income tax deduction also. Goat opportunity to familiarise with the staff of the branch also. Without break tea along with samoosa and puff Aldo and was supplied. After national anthem sing the meeting come to an end at 5.00 pm. and all returned with a new smile.

ESAF Small Finance Bank (ESAF SFB) the new age social bank continues to redefine the banking experience to all the stakeholders. The success of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh reinforced the vision of Shri. K. Paul Thomas the Founder of ESAF. In 1995, he launched Micro Enterprises Development (MED) services and it resulted in the formation of ESAF Microfinance and Investments Pvt. Ltd., in 2008, giving importance of financial component in holistic economic development of the poor and marginalized. ESAF Microfinance and Investments Pvt. Ltd. was one of the pioneers in establishing a formal and structured form of lending through forming mutually trusted groups at the village level that could not only bring financial sustainability but also reinforced the fact that ‘the poor of our country are trustworthy’.
